Happy Halloween!!

Well another down:) Kamdyn was dressed as a lion this year he actually went out and walked to some of the houses on our block! Bruce dropped him off and kept truckin' with the rest of the group. Danny and Stephanie come over every year and the guys take the kids out and we stay and pass out the candy. It's fun seeing all the kids in their costumes:)
I even got into the dressing up just a little:)
Couldn't keep it on for long though, it got too hot!!

Here they all are before heading out!

Shane and his candy.

Bruce passing out candy before heading out with the kids.
Oh and this post-totally backwards!
So we will work backwards from tonight back to Fri. afternoon;)
Shane in his Scarecrow costume.
People thought he was part of the decor
then he would move a little and they
would be surprised:)
He loved it!
These were the bags we made this year for candy.
This is Shane's I thought it was very cool, he put glitter for the eyes!
Soo cool:)
Shane and Katiera's bags.

All the kids and an attempt to get a decent picture:)
See Max has Black paint all over his legs:)

Tiera putting hand prints on hers.

Max and finger painting ;)

Look at Bruce in full "kids + paint" gear! lol
Kamdyn loved doing this, he was so amazed when he put his hand down and it stayed there:)
So cute!

At Katiera's class party.

Katiera and one of her good friends, Audrey.
They were at the cookie decorating station getting frosting and goodies.

More of the same:)

In Shane's classroom.
We had to split our time between their classrooms
So in Shane's we just basically just helped out with passing out food
and watched them play a game.
The game was pretty cool Lay out big pieces of paper pour some
M&Ms and give the kids straws and cups.
They suck on the straw to get a candy and drop it into the cup.
The classroom was pretty quiet for awhile;)
There is Shane's teacher there in the background, her name is Lola and she totally fits the name! She has such cool, laid back style of teaching:)
So funny, during the game 1 kid came up to saying they needed more
candy on their paper and she was like "Nah just shove in and get more there's plenty there!"
I thought when have ya ever heard a teacher talk like that?!?!
LOL
Cheesing!
Ya want some Mom?
Such a sweetie;)
Another really post!

Helping Out

I actually got to volunteer in Katiera's class! I've always wanted to but with the 2 little boys...
it doesn't always work out so good:) I didn't actually have to go in and do it at school which is key to being a stay at home mom and still somehow contributing to the kids school. So the teacher called to see if I wanted to help with the Halloween party and I told her I would like to especially if she had something I could do at home. She was so excited cuz she had these bats that she was trying to get around to but didn't seem to be happening! Perfect for me, I love crafting! These were soo cute I thought I'd share them with all of you. All you need is some felt for the wing and moon, some pom poms for the body, some googly eyes for well you know;), and some pins to make them into bat pins. Oh and some hot glue!

Here they all are!

Today when we went in for the party all the kids were wearing them:)
Sooo cute and very easy!

Face Painting

The kids got tickets to the Fall Carnival that the school puts on and 1 of the things to do was face painting. I didn't go {my group was serving at church the next day so I was cooking;)} Bruce took them. If I had gone maybe I would have remembered the camera;) Sounded like alot of fun though they had a haunted house, bunches of games, bounce house inflatables, and uh face painting!

Katiera chose to stand in line for about 20 mins. to get this gorgeous butterfly:)
She left it on for church the next day,
gotta make the most of all that standing in line and patiently waiting;)

Shane also chose to wait in line and got this...a peace sign.
I was like you waited 20 mins. for a peace sign??
He thought it was AWESOME, so that's all that matters!

He didn't want to keep it for church though, not that awesome;)

Well tomorrow is the Harvest Party and I'm still up working on stuff!
I'll be posting bunches of pictures on Monday:)
So excited!

Orange Inspired

Spent an afternoon over at my friend Emmy's house one day last week. They were going to be making chocolate filled orange jack-o-lanterns, what a neat idea right?! There was just enough for my kids to join in the fun:) She home schools her kids so they are always up to something fun, that is after doing their school in the morning of course! Talk about super-mom she has 5 kids and another on the way! I think I'd be about to go out of my mind {uh actually I know I would;)} but she seems pretty calm and relaxed. Their place is also the neighborhood hang-out we went in the afternoon and soon there were just a bunch of kids running around:)

First you scoop out the insides of the orange.
Like so;)

Here is Tiera with hers, she insisted on scooping out her own for awhile til she realized its kinda hard to do!
This is Annika and Taylor {neighbor} drawing a face on her "pumpkin".

Once they are cleaned out you fill them with chocolate pudding.
There you have it fun little activity and a yummy snack!

B-O-O-KINS

Sooo I was checking blog updates and found the cutest idea for Halloween decor here.
I don't normally really get into decorating for Halloween,
{other than what the kids make at school}
but like Karen, I was soo excited to get started!
Katiera painting pumpkin...
I didn't feel like making a stencil or finding one, so I had my hubby
do the writing and painting:)

I also added orange gems to the points.
So very cute!

I put them on my front porch.
Only sad part about this is I have to go outside to see them! lol
They are irresistible!!
The whole picture:)
When I saw this idea I just had to do it...cute, easy, and fun!
I ran out that same day and got the stuff and got started.
Of course right away Max man grabbed one and promptly dropped it
and broke off the stem! Nothing a little glue couldn't fix tho;)
Definitely head over and check out Karen's finished product as well!
