Country Fried Steak
This is one of Bruce's favorite foods so I thought we would give it a try on our saturday night. It's probly not something either of us will make again- not this recipe anyway:) We also had homemade bisquits and gravy. The pumpkin pancake was really good although it seemed more like cake. So that one will make the cookbook that michelle and I are making:)

Somero Sisters Christmas
The Somero sisters- Carol Hanson, Paula Kandoll, and Gina Isaacson (the three of twelve siblings who live here), always get together with the families at Christmas. It's nice to see everyone and catch up, it gives us a chance to see whats happening, whats new and finally see the newest babies:) I just realized that I didn't take pictures of the new baby that was there- Brielle Hope- Justin and Tristi Wiesser's. There are always games, gifts, food, and a pinata(I'm sure this isn't spelled right) oh well:) This year Paula made up a story about the Somero family for a game of Left,Right- you have a gift and anytime in the story that left or right is mentioned you pass it in that direction til the story is done. The winner is left holding the bag:) For anyone who has not played or heard of the game;). Also the parents bring gifts for thier kids and the adults have the white elephant gift exchange.
Christmas Decorating...
Katiera wanted Bruce to put up the tree so bad, she had been asking and asking til he finally did it:) So we put on some festive music and they went to work:) The two of them did the whole thing. She was sooo excited! Then Shane, Katiera, and Max put the decorations up...well, Max mostly took them off. ;) Theres's nothing like getting the tree up to make it feel more like Christmas!

First bite:)
We were having soup for supper and Kamdyn was begging so I gave in so Bruce gave him a taste. He loved it but I thought he should have something more suited for babies:), so we made some rice cereal. He didn't seem to mind it too much:) Why is it that people want to feed babies before they are ready? I'm not really a "by the book" type, but on this one thing...
Well well Wellington!
Anyone watch Hell's Kitchen? :) We decided to see what makes the show's all time favorite, the beef wellington, a dish worth all the screaming Chef Ramsey did! Yeah it wasn't...at least not ours:) It might have tasted better if we had used the puff pastry the recipe called for:) (Michelle could'nt find it at the store). We may try a different recipe sometime though. We also made a Coucous with zucchini and gorgonzala cheese, which I thought was good. For dessert we made Reese Peanut Butter bars, they look better in the pictures than they actually were.
Magic Candy
Auntie Lily is so much fun!! All the kids just love having her around to tickle them, carry them, sleepovers, trips to the movies, and of course there's the "magic candy"! The candy is Pop Rocks, she calls it magic because of the noise it makes when its in your mouth. And probly cause the kids are as quiet and still as can be:) These pictures were taken at her apartment the day before she left for Nicaragua. She went for a ten day mission trip.
