A Little Easier

Really quick update:)
Friday nights game was once again Pictionary-kids edition this time, making it easier for the kids.

Tiera giving a thumbs up on this game night snack:)

I made these Peanut Butter Bars they were a hit!!
If you want the recipe I will be posting it over at The Peppered Pantry either Sunday or Monday morning. Also if you haven't been by you should!! :) Just click on the link above or the button on the upper right hand side of this blog. We now have printable recipes too, makes it easier for everyone to send them to the printer.
Anywhoo, shall we get back to the game night;)

Shane approves!

Tiera drawing the word "teddy bear"

Shane on the same word. He did a good drawing too but I was on Tiera's team and didn't want to miss out on guessing!

Saturday Project

Finally getting around to some of the thing I've been meaning to do like getting my little reading/nursing spot done-it's not totally done. I'm still on the look out for a small black side table and small ottoman and maybe a new throw blanket:)
For the time being I've been using this little trunk and odd yellow barstool;)
Here's to making do right?!

Here's the sweet shade.

Hanging above the baby bed that still needs bedding;)
One thing at a time though.
I love the way it looks here, what do you all think??

Happy Birthday Joshua!

So this post is a couple weeks old but better late than never:) Anita decided to have Joshua's 3rd birthday at good 'ole Chuckee Cheese-the loudest, craziest, most kid friendly place in the world I'm pretty sure;) The kids had a blast though and that is what it's all about I suppose.
Anita and Joshie getting ready to open presents:)

Anita trying {in vain} to get all the kids to stay still for just 1 group shot!

Josh just loving the spotlight!
He was so excited when chuckee came out to do his thing:)
Kamdyn also thought that chuckee was pretty cool.

Joshua and you know who!

I volunteered to make the rainbow cake again for his party, the hostess asked Anita where she got the cake and Anita told her my sister made it the hostess was like this is the coolest cake I've ever seen!! lol That felt pretty good;) Then she proceeded to cut massive pieces for everybody-keep in mind this is a 6 layer cake!! Oh well...

Goodwill Goodies:)

Just wanted to share with ya some of the cool stuff I came across on a thrifting trip:)

This shade I just love! It was all wrapped up in bubble wrap and tucked in a corner:)
I was thinking I would hang it above the crib.

I'm gonna put the wire plant hanger in Katiera's room for some of her favorite stuffed animals:)
Another wire basket- not sure what I'm doing with it yet...
Then there was that pink embroidered bag.
Max thinks it cute;) lol
Front and Center some ramekins.
Then there is the locker type basket for Shane's room.

Oh forgot about the glass juice bottle/jug.

A little closer look at the bag.
And that white shelf in the background I forgot to put it in the picture, is for Katiera's room as well. It needs a little or alot of TLC:)

Adorable Giveaway!!

There is an awesome giveaway going on at The Vintage Pearl today!! Head over there to check it out!! Tell her I sent you;)

Another Go at Monopoly

The kids chose to play Monopoly again and they did really well. It was cool to see them enjoying them selves and learning at the same time:) It funny how the game is so different every time you play it- this time Bruce wasn't doing very well and Shane was buying up properties like crazy! Tiera and I held our own though:)

Tiera looking pretty pleased with her purchases:)

Shane- notice how he has all his little toys;)

Tiera had to pretty much climb on the table each time she had a turn.
She didn't want anybody to move for her!

Here's Shane- the winner!
Yay for him!
